Subject Object - Poster research

The next part of the research task was to look for posters for inspiration. I found a few on various websites that I found to be really strong and aesthetically pleasing.
These are a few:

This is more of a piece of graphic design than a poster since it has no information or writing clarifying what it is. I love how minimal the colour scheme is and that the designer hasn't gone in to much detail, keeping most of the objects as silhouettes. You feel a sense of time and narrative with how the objects have been placed one by one - almost like a comic book.

This one is a lot more of a serious poster. All of the focus is on the woman's face and mostly her eyes staring at you. The purpose of this poster is gender equality. The designer has placed a search bar where the woman's mouth is to indicate her not being able to talk therefore, making her appear inferior. There are a list of things on the search bar that are very stereotypical to women.

I think this poster is very powerful. It caught my eye straight away because its such a simple yet clever way to get a very serious and strong point across. There aren't any crazy colours or designs that distract the viewer but instead is very direct.

I feel that this poster has a combination of the last two posters. Its very minimal in design, uses block colours, no clutter but simple font and detail. Again, its a very strong poster with a deep meaning that isn't very apparent at first glance. It is a poster to show the consequences of being obsessed with size and diet and how we are killing ourselves to achieve the 'perfect' body.
The designer has simply written the word 'DIET' under the noose but has made the first three letters 'DIE' appear brighter in order to emphasise his posters point.

Another very minimal but powerful poster for the titanic movie. This movie split in to both a romance and a tragedy. The designer has shaped the object that begins the tragedies (ice-berg) in to the symbol of love and the characters romance (heart). The size of the ship in comparison to the iceberg shows how insignificant and tiny the people were compared to the iceberg.
Again, the colours and fonts are very minimal, the colour scheme is made up of different shaded of blue and white.
