Since my newspaper articles focus was on elephants, I thought I'd start by drawing some elephants and then see where it takes me. I went to the Natural History Museum to take some photos and make some sketches.
I feel that going to a museum or gallery physically and drawing from observation is so much more inspiring and satisfying than drawing from a laptop screen. I really got a sense of the textures and tones even though the elephants I drew from were not alive.
