UNIT 8 - Storytelling Delivery

I put my puzzle books in the original pub it was based on and in a few other pubs around Camberwell Green. I thought it'd be a good idea for people to find and fill in they were bored however, this wasn't the most efficient delivery method as I couldn't get much feedback besides peoples initial reactions. I couldn't force people to fill the books in nor did I find any later on because people had probably taken them.
I did manage to get a shot of one person taking a look but if I could do this again, I think I would have thought of a better delivery method.

UNIT 8 - Storytelling - Puzzle Book

The puzzle book begins with a word search of where Paul would usually drink to start his day then goes on to a colouring page of his local pub - The Old Dispensary in Peckham. Throughout the day, Paul gets drunk and loses his drink. He then proceeds to buy other people drinks and then goes and gets a tattoo he will regret for life. In the end, he takes an uber home.

I found it particularly challenging to tell a story using puzzles but had fun creating the puzzles and drawings and am happy with the results.

UNIT 8 - Storytelling - Making The Story

I decided to keep my puzzle book quite simple and humerous. The main patterns I saw while doing my primer was mostly at the Old Dispensary pub in Peckham. There was an old bloke drinking beer, ordering drinks, talking about various things like tattoo regrets when he was younger. I was lucky enough to see him for two days in a row and listen to some of his conversations which helped me to come up with a funny 'day in the life of' kind of story.
I named the man Paul and decided to make a booklet with around 6 puzzles about Pauls day to day life.

I started by sketching out a Paul character mostly made up in my mind but also inspired by the real old man at the pub.

I then scanned this in and started to play around with ideas for the front page and the name of the puzzle book.
This is the blank back page and the front page of the puzzle so far.
